Background Information - What is Update & Confirm?
Update & Confirm provides the PMP with the ability to require that users update and confirm their AWARxE profile information and demographics on a set cadence (usually annually) to ensure that the PMP has the most up-to-date information on the user. Thirty days prior to a user’s AWARxE account anniversary, they will receive reminder email notifications and in-application prompts to update and confirm the information on their AWARxE account. Notifications will continue until account review, update, and confirm steps are completed. If account review and confirmation are not completed in the thirty days prior to account anniversary, account access will be disrupted and access can only be restored by State PDMP staff.Update and Confirm

When "Everything is correct" is selected, review the displayed Profile Information again and click "Save and Continue"
- When "Edit Information" is selected, review and make changes to the displayed Profile Information page. Once you are satisfied with your changes, click "Save and Continue"
- When "Skip For Now" is selected, the verification process is bypassed. If no action is taken at the end of 30 days, this could result in the account becoming deactivated.

Why do I have to review, update, and confirm my account each year?
Since AWARxE account holders have access to private health information, it’s important to verify accurate account information and access on a recurring basis.
How do I review, update, and confirm my account information?
Prompts to review, update, and confirm your account information will only occur during the thirty-day period leading up to your account anniversary. No action is needed from you until that time, and the following instructions will be provided to you in reminder notifications:
To review and confirm your profile information login to your state instance of AWARxE and review the profile information presented upon login.

If no changes are needed, select Everything is Correct to complete the review.

If changes are needed, select Edit for each section requiring update, then Save Changes to apply. Once edits are complete, select Everything is Correct to complete the review.
Selecting Skip for Now will allow you to temporarily bypass the review window, however you will be prompted to review and confirm your profile information upon each login during the review period.
What happens if I don’t review, update, and confirm my account?
If account profile review and confirmation are not completed in the thirty days prior to your account anniversary, your account access will be disrupted. At that time, account access can only be restored by State PDMP staff.
Deactivation of AWARxE user accounts will impact Gateway access for states that have Provider Authorization enabled.
This only applies if the State has enabled functionality for account deactivation for users who do not completing the Update & Confirm process.
