Investigation Alerts is an optional PDMP enabled enhancement that allows the PDMP to create individual alerts for prescribers and/or patients that are involved in an ongoing investigation. When an Investigation Alert is enabled, the PDMP may provide a list of recipients for real time email alerts when a dispensation associated with the flagged provider (by DEA number) or patient is submitted to the PDMP.

Only the PDMP Administrator has the ability to create an Investigation Alert, set alert recipients, and set alert expirations. For questions about Investigation Alerts enablement or functionality, please contact the PDMP. |
In addition to receiving email notifications, recipients enabled to receive Investigation Alerts may view alerts in the Rx Search > Investigation Alerts Notification queue of PMP AWARxE. Select the Investigative Alert from the table to view more details.
The Investigation Alert Notifications table may be sorted ascending or decending by column or filtered by alert type, prescriber or patient name, fill date, patient date or birth, prescriber DEA number, Rx number, and notification date.
