If enabled by the PDMP, user roles such as federal, state, tribal, or local law enforcement officers and/or licensing board investigators may register for a PMP AWARxE account and submit a request for data from the PDMP pursuant to an investigative subpoena or an active complaint and investigation of drug misuse or drug diversion.
These users may request access to data, but do not have direct patient search authority. The requested report is not available to such users until the PDMP administrator validates their request and approves the resulting report(s). |
Before registering for a new account with PMP AWARxE, registration requirements should be verified with the appropriate PDMP first. Please visit the PDMP's website to confirm registration requirements before creating an account in PMP AWARxE. Registration information has also been made available in the PDMP Resources Section within this help center.
Once registration requirements have been confirmed, visit the appropriate PMP AWARxE website and click Create an Account to begin account registration.
A valid email address and password are required to register for an account. The email address used will be the username for the user's PMP AWARxE account. Minimum password requirements may differ and are determined by the PDMP administrator. After entering a valid email address and password, click Continue.
If enabled by the PDMP, passwords may have a numerical value requirement as well. If enabled by the PDMP, the numerical value requirement, will display on the Register for an Account screen. |
To continue with account registration, select the Law Enforcement user role category. The list of available user roles in that category will display.
Law Enforcement users can select from the following:
- Federal Law Enforcement
- State Law Enforcement
- Licensing Board Investigator
Available roles are determined by the PDMP and may vary by state or jurisdiction. Please contact the PDMP Administrator if an appropriate role is not available. |
At this point in the registration process, users may opt to complete their registration at a later time by clicking "Log Out, Complete Later." To resume the registration process, users will simply need to reenter their username and password provided at the time of the initial account creation. |
After selecting the appropriate role, click Continue to complete entry of professional details, personal information, and employer information. Required fields are determined by the PDMP, may vary, and are indicated by a red asterisk (*).
Click Continue to review the user's registration, edit information, as needed, or proceed with registration submission by clicking Submit & Continue.
If a user enters some of their demographic information and then selects Continue, the demographic information will be saved for when they login again to complete their registration. However, if the user enters some of their demographic information and then selects Log out, Complete Later, their demographic information will not be saved for completion at a later date. When Log out, Complete Later is clicked, all that is saved is the role the user selected. The information you are required to enter on this page may vary by PDMP. Required fields are denoted by a red asterisk (*). Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an optional PDMP-enabled feature. If MFA has been enabled, it can be set up at this time in the registration process. Please see the Multi-Factor Authentication support article for more information. |
The Account Registration: Review Profile Details page will display.
Prior to clicking Submit & Continue, review the entered information for accuracy. If you selected the wrong user role, click Change located at the top of the page next to the user role to return to the previous page and select the correct user role. Changing a user role will cause any information previously entered during the registration to be lost. To edit your personal information, click Edit next to the Personal Information section header
When all information has been verified, click Submit & Continue.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an optional PDMP-enabled feature. If MFA has been enabled, it can be set up at this time in the registration process. Please see the Multi-Factor Authentication support article for more information. |
Users will not have full access to PDMP functionality, including performing Patient Requests, until their account has been granted access by the PDMP administrator. Notification of account status will be displayed within the PMP AWARxE application on the user's Account Registration page.
Users may see the following account status on their accounts:
Access Granted
Automatic verification and approval functionality may be enabled in certain registration scenarios, which would grant immediate access to the PMP AWARxE application for the user. If verification and approval occurs successfully, access will be granted and users will be routed to the PMP AWARxE Dashboard. Notification of access granted will be received via email as well.
Pending Approval
If an account registration is considered complete, but it was not eligible for verification by the automatic verification and approval functionality, the account will be in a pending status for review and approval by the PDMP Administrator. If you have questions regarding pending account registration, please contact the PDMP.
Incomplete
If an account registration is abandoned before completion, the account will be in an incomplete status. Reminder notifications to complete registration will be sent via email. Many PDMPs have a configured time-frame to automatically reject incomplete registrations. If automatic rejection occurs, a notification will be sent via email.
When registering for a user role for which the PDMP requires validation documents to be submitted, users will receive a notification within the application and via email with additional instructions on how to submit the requested documents. For additional instructions on submitting validation documents, please refer to the Submitting Validation Documents for PMP AWARxE Registration support article. |
Account Verification
Following registration submission, users will receive an email from no-reply-pmpaware@globalnotifications.com to verify the email address used during account creation.
To ensure receipt of important system and PDMP notifications, the email associated with the PMP AWARxE account must be verified.
The link contained within the verification email is only valid for 20 minutes. If time has expired, click the link on the user's dashboard to have a new email verification notification sent to the registered email address.
If you do not receive an email, please check your spam folder and confirm with IT that firewalls are not preventing receipt of the email. Users can also resend the verification email from the Account Registration page.
