If a healthcare professional (HCP) notices potential suspicious activity on a Patient Report, or if a patient or dispensation information in a Patient Report does not match what the HCP knows to be true or what the patient has reported, please be aware of the following information and troubleshooting steps.
Who to Contact
Bamboo Health provides access to prescription drug monitoring data, but cannot investigate, correct, or alter the data submitted to us by reporting entities (e.g., pharmacies or dispensing providers). If there are concerns regarding accuracy of the data or there is suspicion of inappropriate activity, please contact the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) administrator directly. The PDMP is the appropriate authority to investigate and/or correct discrepancies in reported information and to follow up on potential misuse or suspicious prescribing/dispensing activity.
Examples of When to Contact a PDMP Administrator
- A prescription is listed for the patient that the provider did not prescribe.
- A patient claims they did not receive a medication that appears as dispensed.
- Fill dates, pharmacy names, or quantities seem inconsistent or inaccurate.
- A provider suspects a pattern of doctor shopping or other suspicious behavior.
