Create an Account
To register for a PMP AWARxE account, navigate to the PMP AWARxE web address for your state. On the PMP AWARxE website, select "Create an Account."
You will be prompted to enter your e-mail address (which will be your username) along with a preferred password. Password requirements are as follows:
- Minimum of 8 characters
- Contain one upper case letter
- Contain one lower case letter
- Contain one special character (! @ # $ etc.)
- Maximum of 72 characters
Click “Save and Continue”.

Select a Role
On the following page, you must choose your role. You can select more than one role within the same category. To view the roles in each category, you can click the "+" symbol.
If you are registering as a delegate, be sure to select a delegate role, unless otherwise specified by your State Administrator.
If you do not see an applicable role for your profession, the State Administrator has not configured a role of that type. Contact your State Administrator for assistance.
After the role has been selected, to click “Save and Continue”.
You must enter your name, date of birth, employer information, and other required information as configured by your state.. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.
In the "DEA Number(s)" field, you will input any of your active DEAs and then click the "+ Add" button.
If you input an invalid DEA, you will see a pop up message stating "DEA number is invalid."
After clicking the "+ Add" button, your DEA(s) will appear in the "DEA Numbers Added" field. Multiple DEA numbers may be entered if necessary.
If you do not click the "+ Add" button, you will receive an error message stating, "Must have DEA Number and National Provider ID".
If your DEA number is on file, you can use your DEA number to populate information on the form by clicking "AutoFill Form." If your DEA number is not on file, the AutoFill Form option is not available.
DEA Sub-Identifier / DEA Suffix
In some cases, you may be provided with a DEA number that is already associated with a PMP AWARxE account, such as a medical student working in a large hospital. Upon registering, you may receive a message advising that the DEA number is already in use. You may utilize a sub-identifier in conjunction with your DEA number to complete your registrations. You may need to reach out to your State Administrator to attain the proper numbers to use in the DEA field.
Your role may not be required or have a need to enter a DEA suffix. If you do not have one, there is no need to enter one.
Pennsylvania Veterinarian NPI Number
If you are a veterinarian in Pennsylvania and you do not have an NPI number, you may use the NPI number 1234567893.
Once all information is entered, click "Submit Your Registration." An End User License Agreement will populate. To proceed with access to PMP AWARxE, you must select "I Agree". If you cannot see the "I Agree" button, ensure that you are using a compatible browse and make sure your browser window is maximized and the zoom level is set to a normal default (100%) or smaller than normal (under 100%).
A welcome screen will appear that displays the status of your account (pending approval or incomplete and requiring further action). You will not be able to perform patient searches until the State Administrator has reviewed and approved your account.
If your registration is “Incomplete,” you will need to complete your registration in the Validation Documents section.
If your account is “Pending Approval,” it is complete and is awaiting approval by your State Administrator.
During registration, you will be notified that a link to verify your email address has been sent. you must access this e-mail and click the link to verify your e-mail address so that your State Administrator may approve your account and you may complete password resets.
Receive Approval or Rejection E-mail
You will receive an e-mail once your account has been approved/rejected by the State Administrator.
