This page outlines the steps to take if a user receives the error message, “Error: There was a problem with the email you attempted to use. If you believe there is already an account associated with this email address, use the reset password feature to continue your registration.”
This error occurs when the user's e-mail address has already been used for a PMP AWARxE account or registration.
The PMP State Administrator cannot assist with e-mail errors.
Conduct Password Reset
You may already have a PMP AWARxE account with the e-mail address you are attempting to register with.
Complete a password reset to gain access to your account; reference Login Assistance - PMP AWARxE
Attempt to log in to PMP AWARxE.
If you are able to login, you may be taken to a screen to complete your initial registration.
Complete your registration; see How to Register | How to Register - Updated Registration Process.
If after resetting your password the you are still unable to login or if you are unable to reset your password contact the PMP help desk.
