A delegate is a role that has the capability to perform patient searches on behalf of another registered user (the "supervisor"). Some users in PMP AWARxE will only serve as delegates of other users, while other roles can have the option of acting as a delegate for another user. Examples of possible delegate roles include Delegate, Registered Nurses, Medical Interns, and Physician Assistant.
Delegate roles and aspects of the registration process for delegates will vary based on configurations enabled by their PDMP administrator. A delegate will not be able to perform patient searches until the PDMP administrator has approved their account and they have an approved supervisor association established. Registering for a Delegate Account
To register for a delegate account within PMP AWARxE, navigate to the applicable state's PMP AWARxE website and click Create an Account.
Enter a valid email address. The entered email address will serve as the delegate's PMP AWARxE account email address and what they will use to log into PMP AWARxE. Enter a password in the Password and Password Confirmation fields and click Save and Continue. Minimum password requirements may differ and are determined by the PDMP Administrator.
Select the Healthcare Professionals drop down menu and select the appropriate role applicable to the delegate.
The most common roles for delegates are Prescriber Delegate - Unlicensed or Pharmacist's Delegate - Unlicensed. |
Once the appropriate role has been located, select the checkbox next to the role and click Save and Continue. Please contact the PDMP administrator if an appropriate role is not available. Enter the appropriate personal and employer information, as configured by the PDMP administrator, in the Create an Account screen. All required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).
Under the Delegate section, the delegate must enter their supervisor's PMP AWARxE account email address in the Email field and click Add. Some PDMPs may have implemented delegate and/or supervisor maximum limitations set.

Once all information has been entered, click Submit Your Registration.
Email Verification
Following submission of an account registration, users will receive an email to verify their email address used during their account creation. To ensure password reset functionality and receipt of important PDMP communications, it is critical for users to verify their email address. Furthermore, PDMP administrators cannot approve a delegate's account until their email has been verified.
The link contained within the verification email is only valid for 20 minutes. If time has expired, click the link to have a new email verification notification sent to the registered email address.
The email notification will be delivered from no-reply-pmpaware@globalnotifications.com.
If an email is not received, check the junk/spam folders. Users can also resend the verification email from the Account Registration page.
