Security policies are designed to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and performance of a company's system(s). With clear protocols covering responsibilities, authority, compliance, and requirement adherence, high standards are set to ensure data quality, confidentiality, and compliance.
The purpose of this article is to identify steps users can take to keep their accounts secure as outlined below.
- Only access PMP AWARxE from a trusted device
- Use a strong password (e.g., uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and a symbol). For more information on password requirements, please refer to the Resetting Passwords in PMP AWARxE help article.
- Avoid reusing or recycling old passwords
- Avoid using the same password for multiple accounts, especially between work and personal accounts
- Do not share passwords with coworkers, managers, or family members (e.g., you are going on vacation and share your password with a coworker who is covering your responsibilities)
- Do not discuss passwords in front of others or hint at password themes
- Do not store passwords in an electronic file without encryption
- Do not write passwords down
- Do not reveal a password in an instant message, text message, or email message
- When configured by the PDMP administrator, users should enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for an extra layer of security
