The Prescriber Activity Request "search" or "query" displays a summary of prescriptions prescribed by a specified DEA number and the corresponding patient and pharmacy information.
To perform a Prescriber Activity Request, login to PMP AWARxE and navigate to Menu > Insight > New Reports. Click on Prescriber Activity Request.
Enter the required information, noting required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*). Once all required search criteria has been entered, click Run Prescriber Activity.
If your search results in a patient match, a Success message will display.
Return to Menu > Insight > Reports History. Locate the patient's name for which the report was ran and click Prescriber Activity Request in the left-hand column.
Select the patient and click Run Report.
If the search could not determine a single patient match, a message will display indicating multiple patients were found.
If an exact patient name was searched and multiple patients were found, refer to the Multiple Patients Identified section below. If a partial patient name was searched and multiple patients were found, refer to the Partial Search Results section below. |
If a search does not return any results, a message will display indicating that either no patient matching the search criteria could be identified or the patient was identified but no prescriptions were found. Refer to the No Results Found section below for more information.
If configured by the PDMP, and a patient has been located matching the search criteria, the Prescriber Activity Request will be forwarded to an admin for approval as outlined in the image below.
Once an admin reviews the request and makes a determination on whether to approve or reject the request, the user will receive an email with the request status and either a link to take the user directly to the report results or an explanation for the request rejection.
If admin approval is not configured by the PDMP, the Prescriber Activity Request will be ready to for viewing immediately under Menu > Insight > Reports History.
Multiple Patients Identified and Partial Search Results
If multiple patients were identified when performing a Prescriber Activity Request or partial search results were utilized and identified more than one patient, a message will display indicating more than one match was identified.
From this page, a user can click Refine Search to return to the Patient Request page, refine the search criteria, and re-run the report.
OR
Select one or more of the patients displayed and click Run Report. The request will then be sent to an admin to make a determination to either approve or reject the request. Once a determination is made by the administrator, the user will receive the results of the determination via email.
No Results Found
If search results could not be matched to any patient records, a message will display indicating no matching patient could be identified.
If search criteria matches a patient's record, but the patient does not have any prescriptions within the specified timeframe, a message will display indicating the patient was found, but no prescriptions were found.
If this occurs, the user can click Change Date Range to return to the Prescriber Activity Request page, enter a different date range, and re-run the report.
Viewing a Prescriber Activity Request
Once the Prescriber Activity Request is ready, search results are returned via email with a link to take the user directly to the report. The report will also display in Menu > Insights > Reports History.
The Prescriber Activity Request can be expanded for more detail by clicking the “+” symbol next to the patient’s name.
If configured by the applicable PDMP, users can download the Investigative Patient Report as a PDF or CSV file by clicking Download PDF or Download CSV.
