If enabled by the PDMP, Patient Requests may be performed in PMP AWARxE with partial patient names (E.g., "Sam Coop" for "Samantha Cooper"). When performing a partial patient name search, check the Partial Spelling checkbox next to First Name, Last Name, or both.
| When performing a Partial Name search, some PDMPs may not require the patient’s DOB, depending on that PDMP's specific search requirements. |
Utilizing a partial name search may result in multiple and/or unintended patients in search results.
| A Multiple Patients Found pop up may display if multiple individuals are found that meet the search criteria. If this occurs, either confirm with the patient to select relevant records or click Refine Search to return to the Patient Request page to modify search criteria and rerun the Patient Request. Please refer to Multiple Patients Identified for additional information. |
If multiple patients are selected for inclusion in the Patient Request, a Linked Records section will present in the resulting Patient Report. Dispensation records for each patient included in the report are indicated by an ID associated to the record in the Prescriptions section of the Patient Report.
|
An asterisk (*) next to the First Name or Last Name on the Patient Report indicates that a partial spelling search was used. This means the “Partial Spelling” checkbox was selected for the first and/or last name when running the report. |
For more information on interpreting the Patient Report, please refer to Navigating Patient Reports for additional information.
